We are sorry to report that Andean products are no longer available as of November 14th. We found out that all inventory at the company is being packed up and sent back to Peru. We do not know why this occurred but we have been told that they are no longer being sold here. Hopefully they will bring back some new items next year as that is their intention.
Discover the treasures of Peru. Andean produces some of the finest Peruvian products on the market. This "sweatshirt", and I use the term loosely as this is not your old scruffy sweatshirt from college, will be as elegant as any item in your closet.
Made of 100% Peruvian pima cotton* in a very full cut and comfortable style. The hand picked, super long-staple cotton creates the most luxurious and sensuous fabric you will ever wear. The luster is incredible and the detailing and stitching are what define Andean Sportswear. Wear with your favorite jeans and you will feel like a million.
These "sweatshirts" have a raglan sleeve versus a set-in sleeve. This is preferred by golfers who find this style gives them easier movement.
These shirts run very full so please utilize the chart below as a guideline to the size you might need. I took a small (wear a 38R suit) and I normally wear mediums in most sweaters. If you like them really full, then buy the size you normally wear.
Suit or coat size: Andean Size 36-38 small 40-42 medium 44-46 large 46-48 XL 48-50 2XL
Care: Machine wash cold and dry on delicate or hang dry. May be dry cleaned.
(please note, because all computer monitors display differently, the colors shown are an approximation)
*Peruvian Pima cotton is prized all around the world as a luxury fiber and is called 'gamuza' by the Peruvians, meaning suede in Spanish because of its silky soft feel and brilliant luster. The silky soft feel is a result of the excellent growing conditions in the northern coastal valleys of Peru where it is cultivated.
Color Notes: There are a lot of options in the green family and I thought it would help a bit to describe them from darkest to lightest. They are all good colors though some may find the lime a bit too light.
- Forest: A bottle green color
- Olive: sort of an Army green
- sage: mid green, like the spice
- nile: lighter blue green
- lime: soft pistachio color
