The "covert twill" was taken from a classic trouser fabric called "covert cloth". It creates clarity and separation of color between the white warp and colored weft, making a very unique and handsome shirt.
The fabric is a 100% cotton 100's 2-ply covert twill.
We are also stocking this shirt in an ecru/bone color, and a white with French Cuffs. Please call to check availability as they cannot be ordered through the web site.

Sartorial Spread: this collar is designed to be firmer with a bit higher collar stance. It is a very "dressed up" and formal look.
Gitman is known world wide for making some of the finest dress shirts money can buy. All shirts are cut with a generous body and are sewn with 22 stitches per inch. Collars are about 3/8" over spec to allow for shrinkage.
